Six-week Nursey consultation started Monday 16th December. See nursery page for more information.

Welcome to Penryn Nursery

***IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT CONSULTATION FOR OUR NURSERY PROVISION***

At Penryn Primary Acacdmy we thrive to deliver high quality childcare and education within our local community.  We currently take admissions from rising 3’s in our nursery provision to Year 6 children.  We are fortunate enough to have the capacity to increase our nursery intake and are looking to now enrol children in our nursery setting from the age of 2 years.

We feel by providing this additional facility, our existing parents will have the ease of knowing our staff and the ability to drop their younger and older children to school/childcare together; building strong foundations for their school career.  Also, by increasing our provision we aim to expand the opportunities for employment within our Academy Trust giving us the ability to work with local organisations provide exciting opportunities for our children.

As part of our six-week consultation process, which started on Monday 16th December, we invite you to join us for a consultation meeting on Wednesday 8th January 2020 at 14.00, in our Penryn Primary Academy Nursery setting to discuss these proposed changes. Should you not be able to attend the meeting and would like to make comments about the proposed change, please send this via email to secretary@penrynprimary.org.

Thank you for taking the time to hear our proposals.

Best wishes

Our Nursery caters for children from the term before their third Birthday to four years of age. Children can be admitted to the Nursery at any time during the school year but our usual intake is in September, depending on numbers we may also take in the spring or summer.

Here in the Nursery we provide the children with opportunities to explore and learn through play as well as more focused experiences. Everything is designed to develop the essential social and learning skills children need when entering more formal learning at a later stage. We like to promote inquisitive minds and independent attitudes and have created a space in which children can thrive. The Nursery is a large welcoming space, full of exciting and engaging equipment which is readily available for the children to access themselves.

We offer an expansive outdoor area which is fully enclosed and partially covered to allow access whatever the weather. We have also just added a small woodland area.
