Welcome to Year 3/4!

We are incredibly excited to welcome you to a brand-new year of learning. We have a fantastic year ahead, packed with inspiring topics and engaging experiences for the children. Please take a moment to read our Curriculum Map below and don’t forget to check out our school Facebook page to see all the wonderful learning taking place in school.
We are very much looking forward to working closely with you and your children this year. If you ever have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us via the school office on 01326 373290 or by email at hello@penrynprimary.org. You are also very welcome to book a phone call or meeting with us.

📚 Reading Records
Reading is the key to unlocking a lifetime of learning and opportunities. We really value your support with reading at home and ask that you read with your child at least five times a week. Please record each reading session in your child’s reading record and ensure it comes into school every day.

🍽 School Meals
KS2 school meals must be ordered and paid for in advance via ParentPay. Our school lunch menu is available on the homepage of the school website. If you think your child may be eligible for free school meals, please speak to a member of the office team.

🧃 Healthy School
At Penryn Primary Academy, we are committed to promoting the health and wellbeing of our whole school community. This includes healthy food and drink choices, physical activity, and positive emotional wellbeing.
In line with our Healthy School Policy, every child is provided with a Penryn Primary Academy water bottle, which is kept in school and cleaned and refilled daily.
To support healthy habits further, all KS2 children will be provided with a piece of fruit at break time. Please note that no other break-time snacks are allowed in school.

🌳 Forest School, PE & Swimming
Children will have the opportunity to take part in Forest School sessions every fortnight. Timetables are available to view on the school website. PE is every Friday so please ensure your child comes to school in their PE kit. Swimming will be during the Spring term, please check the timetable to see when your child's class is on the school website (bottom right-hand corner under Links and Downloads).
